NYS Concourse Regional Highlights
As part of an initiative to promote tourism and activate the Concourse beneath the New York State Capitol Plaza, I was selected to design artwork representing New York State’s ten regions. Each two-sided pillar features curated facts and photographs that highlight the unique character of the region. I developed a cohesive visual system, arranging the pillars to form a continuous spectrum of color that guides visitors through the space and creates a dynamic, immersive experience.

The design process included researching regional identities, selecting imagery, and developing layouts that balanced information clarity with visual impact. By combining educational content with compelling visuals, the pillars serve both as a functional informational tool and an engaging public art installation, enhancing wayfinding and visitor engagement throughout the Concourse.
