Women's Suffrage Girl Scout Patch
While working as a designer for the New York State Governor’s Office, I had the privilege of designing a commemorative Girl Scout patch celebrating the centennial of Women’s Suffrage in New York State. The project required balancing historical accuracy, symbolic meaning, and scale constraints to create a design that was both visually striking and suitable for production. I carefully crafted the composition, color palette, and illustrative details to ensure the patch conveyed the significance of the milestone while remaining recognizable at a small size.

The design’s impact extended beyond the patch itself when it was recreated in sand at the New York State Fair to further celebrate the centennial, demonstrating how a well-executed design can engage audiences in multiple formats and bring historical commemoration to life in a public, interactive space.
